摘要近几十年来,合作系统稳定性的维持机制一直是整个进化生物学和生态学方面的热点问题之一。经典的亲缘选择和互惠选择理论认为:合作个体由于空间异质性和自我抑制从而能够维持合作系统稳定性。理论上,如果空间异质性及自我抑制理论能够维持合作系统的稳定,那么系统中那么合作个体之间应该都具有正的相关系数,然而越来越多的实验观测及数据分析显示负的情况也能被观察到。基于此,本文利用整合分析检验空间异质性及自我抑制理论在维持合作系统稳定性方面的合理性。 整合分析(Meta-analysis)是一种专门对同一主题下相互独立的单个研究进行统计综合的技术,并且已经发展成为一种研究方法。本文详细介绍了整合分析的原理、方法步骤等,阐明了此方法相对于传统综述的优势,并将此方法应用于合作系统稳定性研究。通过整合分析,我们发现:在合作系统中,基于合作双方适合度的相关系数构建的效应值在不同类别的系统中的变化情况是不同的,只有保护型(protection)为正值(CI>0),而其余三组传粉型(pollination),传播型(spread)和寄生型(parasite)都与0相交(CI含0)。也就是说,相关系数的变化情况只在保护型合作系统中与空间异质性理论预期相一致,而在其他的合作系统类别(包括传粉型,传播型和寄生型)中却与空间异质及自我抑制理论不一致。研究结果表明:空间异质及自我抑制理论只在某些类型的合作系统中起作用,而在其他的合作系统中可能是不合理的。 关键词:合作系统;空间异质性;自我抑制;整合分析;相关系数。
其他摘要For past decades, the maintenance mechanism of long-term stability of mutualism of fig and wasp always was the hot spot issue in evolutionary biology and ecology. Hamilton and others have suggested that self restraint or spatial heterogeneity (restraint) will prevent direct conflict between the cooperative actors and the recipient that results from the increase in the partners. Theoretically, if the spatial heterogeneity or self-restraint mechanism could maintain the stability of mutualism, only a positive fitness between host and symbiont could be observed. Base on that above, this study used a meta-analysis method to integrate results from 80 independent studies about correlation coefficient to evaluate the spatial heterogeneity or self-restraint mechanism could sufficiently maintain the stability of mutualism. Meta-analysis is a specialized statistic technology that can integrate the individual data under independent research, and now it has been developed into a research method. This paper describes the theory and steps of Meta-analysis in detail. It compares with the traditional overview as well in order to elucidate the advantages of this method. In this paper meta-analysis is used to the maintain mechanism of mutualism system. Through meta-analysis, we find that the varies of effect size is differ in different category, only in the protection category, the correlation between the host and symbiont is positive, but in the other three categories include pollination, spread and parasite the CI all overlap zero. It also means that the changes of correlation coefficient only coincide with the spatial heterogeneity or self-restraint mechanism in protection category, but in other three categories system is different with spatial heterogeneity. In addition, the cumulative evidence did not support the spatial heterogeneity and self-restraint mechanism except protection category system. The results indicate that the spatial heterogeneity or self-restraint mechanism is play a role in some systems but maybe not be reasonable.
