摘要	Material of Branchinella (Branchinellites) yunnanensis Shen, 1949 collected from within the range originally reported for this species were examined and analysed. Branchinella yunnanensis is shown to be a junior synonym of B. (B.) kugenumaensis (Ishikawa, 1895). The subgenus Branchinellites is reviewed briefly and a key to species is provided.
